Papa Diop is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience in public accounting and in accounting roles in the private sector. Mr. Diop began his career at a regional accounting firm based out of New York where he served as part of the management team and specialized in audits of governmental and non-profit entities.
Mr. Diop later joined Deloitte, a Big 4 accounting firm, where he worked with a wide range of commercial and not-for-profit profit clients and industries. His subsequent professional credentials included audit managerial positions at PwC, a Big 4 CPA firm, and another regional CPA firm.
Mr. Diop was also a member of the management team within the Internal Audit Group of the Ford Foundation where he managed the audits of Ford Foundation grantees located in Indonesia, China, India, Russia, Chile, Nigeria and South Africa. He gained a valuable understanding of the challenges of working in an environment with cross cultural diverse organizations.
Papa Diop was an Adjunct Professor at New York University where he teaches Not for Profit Financial Management.
